final project

soooo my final project is on FAIRY TALES!!!! hooray so anyways im pretty dang proud of this assignment. some of the best pictures ive ever taken ever are on this assignment. (well at least some of my favorites.) like the picture of jessie and her boyfriend..(who is wearing a tiara if you look close enough..) anyways i love that one, the one of the tiara that is right below this, the picture of the flowers, and finally the creepy cinderella picture. I made this picture so creepy to show how creepy and weird the real stories are ( by the grimm brothers) i mean, a mermaid that has to cut out the heart of a prince? HELLLOOOO creepy! anyways im soo happy to have had this class and to have taken digital.



okay, i LOVE this tiara picture because of the reflection of it on the black serface!! it just looks so spiffy! Also there's the contrast between the light crown on the darkness.


this is a picture of Snow White. She has just eaten the apple and has collapsed on the ground still holding it... This wasnt my best picture ever, but i still like it because of the story it tells, when you see it, you are automatically reminded of a certain story! its sooo cool.



This next picture is of Snow White again, but technically, it could be used as the ending to almost any fairy tale. The prince and the princess, finally getting married, being happy. In a technichal sense, i love this picture because of the light behind the budding flowers, and the contrast between the happy couple and the bright sky.

assignment #8 redo

This is a picture of a double pretzel! hooray!! i really like this because of how high key it is. It also has shadows, but that somehow makes the rest of the picture look even whiter!!!



I think that this is the best picture in my assignment. I like how the heart shows the light. even though it is dark, you can tell that i had some good light!! :) i like how it shines off the edge of the heart.



I like this picture because i got the pocus right and it is REALLY WHITE!!!! This one also has the shadow making it look whiter like the pic. of the pretzels! i really like the light that i got, and the contrast in this picture.



i like this picture because, it also has pretty good light (!!!!) i like the hula dancing girl on the package. And also that even though it has some white on the picture its low-fat and low key!!!!

assignment #7 numbers

This is a picture of Daniel Rabanales. He is warming up (for a soccer game) with Jacob Silva (you can see a corner of his nose) neither one of these people knew that i was taking this picture, but i LOVE (!!!!) how they are in it. It just looks so casual, so natural (which it is) i dont know. This picture just makes me smile. I think that it really shows daniel, what he loves.



This next picture is of George Shirley's (the sports trainer) golfcart. I really like this picture because, for one thing it is very clear ( :D YES!!!) and i like the contrast that it has on it.



I think that this picture is my absolute favorite of the whole assignment. Im not sure why but i think that it is because it is sort of.... unique. I like the idea of using the face for a zero! I also like the fact that you can tell that this is my face, and that, even though you cant see my eyes, it has an identifying expression.



I like this pic. because it is easy to tell the number and you can see all the rocks that were on the ground. It has a nice focus on it and so great contrast!!!!



I really really like this picture!!!! The very best part of it is the background lighting. It has the shadows that are soooooooooooo cool!!!! it gives the rest of the picture a sort of... mysterious feel to it.



This is a picture of my friend aimee's legs. She was just sitting like this naturally while i was shooting and i thought HEY!!! this would be a wayy cool picture!! and it turned out that it was!!! I really like the contrast between her shoes and her jacket, the black and the white, they look good together.



I think that this picture has some REALLY cool lighting ( like #5) It was shot at about the same time of day and the same spot as that picture too. I love that even though the flowers are not completely in focus, the design in the background brings it out nicely!



I like the way that this picture gives of the feel of nature. You can tell that it is shot outside, in a non house filled area. It shows the different elements of nature also. (wood, rocks, and grass) I also like that it is in roman numerals instead of the usual numbers.



this one is like the last one, but better. I also like the contrast that the grass has with the rocks and the dirt. I like this picture too!



I got this idea from a previous assignment. I liked the way that a ball looked like a zero. The background is also wayy cool.

final project ideas

Ive thought this whole term about what i should do for my final project and i have a couple of ideas here they go:
#1 fairy tales... like snow white, cinderella, etc
#2 a comic strip of my life... or of a superhero

Im pretty sure that i want to do the first option. In this assignment, i want to get AMAZING light and really show the story of these fairytales. I want to mostly show the way intense scenes of the fairy tales. Like when The little mermaid is about to kill the prince ( im gonna do the real fairy tales not the disney versions of them)

our circle friend KFZ!!

So here is the story of KFZ (thats his nick name)
so me and jessie had nothing to do and i had just gone to the bookfair where i found this wonderful dinosaur bookmark. I brought it into class and when jessie say it she loved it and so we decided to make him. There was one big problem... we didnt have any glue so we asked mr slade if he had any. He didnt so we went to ask mr patteson and suprise of suprises he didnt have any glue either. But he did suggest to us to go ask mr flo for some of the much needed glue and guess what??? he had some!!!! (but it was retarded and was impossibnle to work :_( <= me crying) so we came back to class and started to make him. the glue was bad so it made a little bit of a mess but hes dont now and here are some pictures of our constrution sight

this is a picture of jessie, i think its cool because behind her, the background is COMPLETELY black and it looks soooo cool! i lik how its a profile picture of her, because, you dont see many pictures like it!



this is a picture of my friend nour jaatol. we were hanging out in my dads classroom when we opened up a drawer and found this JONAS BROTHERS kit!!! haha we were sooo confused that i took a picture of her with it and the face she had when she saw it. :) it makes me smile



This is a portrait of my sister molly. Shes doing her homework so i came on for the sneek attack picture of her haha. I love this picture because, even though it is a bit blurry, she still looks good and she has the best face for portraits i think. Its interesting because of her HUGE eyes and the glasses that make them even bigger!! and then i dont know... it sort of intreges me ( sorrry i dont know how to spell very good)



This is another pic of molly, the crazy. I was teachiing her how to take pictures and this one turned out WAYY good!!!!! I love the lighting that i got on it, the highlights on her chin and glasses!! and that her her is .,.,. um whats the word splayed (!) out all over her head! Oh well, i love it.



This is my bestestest friend jasmine. i love this picture (even though i usually HATE pictures where the person looks at the camera and smiles.) because it reallly shows who she really is. She is the kind of person who just is always happy and smiling at you, no matter what is going on.



and last is... *drum roll please*... ME!!!!! haha i am emo in this picture which is DEFINETLY NOT ME!!!! i have like 25 lbs of make up which, also is nothing like me but oh well i also think this pic is pretty good for a picture taken by a 12 year old who has never taken photo before huh?

extra portraits... thingy

I know that everybody is doing this same photographer (Steve Mccurry) but i still am anyways. i REALLY like this picture, but im not sure why... i think its because of how small and young the child is but yet you can tell that he has been through hardships already in his life. He is completely filthy but under that dirt you can see the sad look in his eyes and the responsibility there. ya its wayy sad.



I also really like this picture by steve mccurry, this one is way awesome because even though most of the girls face is covered up, you can see everything reflected in her eyes. They are like windows, you can see EVERYTHING in them. Its just soo cool. I wish i could take these types of pictures.



This picture is by one of my favorite artists, mary cassatt. I did a report on her in third grade. She just sort of stuck with me.

GET ON YOUR BELLY!!

In this picture, i was laying down in my yard with my neighbor climbing my HUGE tree. i was looking up at her and i thought hey, this would look cool for my on your belly project!! so i run in and grab my camera and take some pictures and some of the tree itself. my neighbor was being bashful and sneaky so she deleted the pictures that i had taken of her so this is all i got. still pretty good in my opinion but there it is.




Im pretty proud of this picture to tell you the truth.its of a broken bike next to my thrown down scooter( and both are covered in old leaves)But i love it because it shows that everything was just thrown down, thrown away and left there after it was broken.




this picture is soooo cool!!! its in the cottonwood high school auditorium, and i was on my back taking pictures of the lights when i wat up to fast and it made this fabulous masterpeace!!!!!
